DYFED-Powy police is appealing for witnesses to a collision, which occurred on the B4577 between Cross Inn and Bethania on Saturday (Aug 18).

Dyfed-Powys Police issued the following information as part of their appeal.

“The car, a silver Audi A4 was stolen from Heol y Dwr, Llanon, between 5-6pm on Saturday, August 18.

“The car has then been involved in a collision at the cross roads between Cross Inn and Bethania on the B4577, Ceredigion at 5.35pm.

“It collided with a green Ford Focus then drove away. The elderly couple in the Ford Focus were freed from the vehicle and conveyed to hospital for examination but did not suffer serious injuries.

“It stopped further down the road and two men in their mid-twenties fled the vehicle heading west towards Cross Inn.

“Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating this theft and collision and anyone with information that can help officers with their investigation is asked to report it by calling PC Simon Williams 323 on 101.
