SOUTH Wales Police are dealing with a serious road traffic collision, which occurred on Groves Road, Neath, outside the convenience store, at approximately 5:15am on Wednesday the 26th of December 2018. A small light coloured car has collided with a 23year old male pedestrian, and a short time later, has driven away from the scene. As a result of this collision, a 23 year old local male has been conveyed to Morriston Hospital, having sustained serious injuries. Five people have since been arrested in relation to this incident, and are currently helping police with their enquiries.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who have any information in relation to it, to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, via 101, quoting reference 1800485617. The police would also like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of the vehicle involved, which is believed to be a silver 62 plate Peugeot 208, and it is likely to have sustained front end damage.
